A 30W solar panel, adjustable for maximum sun exposure, charges a LiFePO4 battery during daylight hours. At dusk, the battery supplies power to the light source which provides 6,000 lumens of cool white light (5000K) from an array of high quality LEDs. To conserve battery power, a built-in motion sensor allows the unit to be switched to a lower brightness setting during periods of low pedestrian activity and back to full brightness when movement is detected within approximately 30 feet. A small, hand-held remote can be used to switch the unit into 3 different modes that allow you to control time, brightness, and motion activation. This light also comes standard with an adjustable slipfitter bracket; if you require a different bracket please see other options in the above accessory section.
Simple Instructions for Use
For first time use, make sure the unit is fully charged by placing it so that the solar panel is in direct sunlight for at least 4-6 hours.
Familiarize yourself with the 3 modes of operation and select the desired mode by pressing whichever button corresponds to that desired mode.
Motion Sensing Mode - At night or in low lighting conditions, the light will operate at 40% brightness. When motion is detected it will increase to 100% brightness.
Time Control Mode - At night or in low lighting conditions, the light will operate at 70% brightness for the time frame selected.
Constant Brightness Mode - At night or in low lighting conditions, the light will operate at 100% brightness. Select the 4 hour or 8 hour option to set to a predetermined run time instead of running from dusk til dawn. *If no hour is selected, the light will run from dusk until dawn at the constant level selected*
Note: Lighting duration is approximately 36 – 48 hours. The solar light can work continuously for 3 to 5 rainy days without charging the battery. The length of time the solar panel holds its charge depends on amount of sun exposure, weather conditions, and different working modes.
